Managing With Purpose
On the Road to EURAM 2025 International Conference in Florence. 🔝
Purpose-Driven Academy will follow and participate in the upcoming EURAM 2025 from June 21 to June 25. 💯
The event celebrates the 25th anniversary of the European Academy of Management, with a highly relevant theme:
“Managing with Purpose. From Craftsmen to Artificial Intelligence: Bringing back Humanism into Management” 🚀
Why does this theme matter for Purpose-Driven Academy?
Because today, purpose is too often treated as a brand narrative or a CSR headline — but the real challenge lies in bringing purpose into the heart of management.
How do leaders make purpose actionable?
How do organizations align strategy, culture, and daily practices with their stated purpose?
And how do we measure and sustain purpose-driven impact over time?
These are the questions PDA works on daily.
They are also central to the conversations that will unfold at EURAM.
One of the papers selected for presentation at the conference draws on a dataset of purpose statements provided by PDA founder Luca Leonardini. The study, led by Professor Jorge Gomes (University of Lisbon), explores how purpose is structured and expressed across organizational contexts.
For us at PDA, this is an opportunity to contribute to the dialogue between research and practice, and to learn from the latest academic thinking on how purpose is evolving as a managerial concept.
We will share key insights and reflections from the conference through our blog and LinkedIn channels.
Purpose is no longer a question of why organizations exist — it is a question of how they lead, act, and deliver impact.
EURAM 2025 will be an important space to explore these questions with rigor.
👉 We are also looking forward to meeting new like-minded people during EURAM. If you are attending and would like to connect in person, feel free to reach out — we’ll be happy to arrange a moment to meet at the conference. 😎👌
