The Structure Of The Book

  • Chapters 1 to 4 besides providing a broader view of the subject answer such questions as “what is purpose”, “why is it so important”, “do I need one” and “what do I need to know before getting this journey started.”

  • Chapters 5 to 10 provide practical tools to codify the first draft of the purpose. This is the part of the book with exercises, reflections, videos, and articles, to complete before jumping to the last section.

    This section also covers values identification, the exploration of the passion-problem connection, the IKIGAI concept, the components, and the characteristics of a good purpose statement.

  • Provides tips about lessons learned during the journey and two very crucial points to be aware of: the “rinse and repeat” approach and help you answer the very personal question “how do you know when you have found a good purpose?”

  • The Appendix contains exercises the reader can use to practice and apply using an iterative learning and discovery approach.
